Irony

This is the pot calling the kettle black: Obama warns mayors not to waste stimulus

I like the irony of the situation on several levels. First, anyone who follows the federal government knows that it is an organization which appears to exist for no other purpose then to waste our money. So Obama threatening to "call out" mayors who appear to waste the stimulus money is the very definition of irony! Second, unless you as a taxpaying citizen receive a direct benefit from the stimulus package, then the federal government is "wasting" your hard-earned dollars!

Anyway, the stimulus package is approved and on its way. Too bad by most accounts (including the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office) it will be several years before the vast majority of the population will start to feels its affects.

Just in time for the next election... (or would that be too ironic?)
